Drill Simple meter-1 beat patterns
The following flashcards will drill you on single beat patterns in simple meters.
There are 8 possible beat patterns for simple meter which are:
To view the flashcards:
1. Read the directions, then select the “Start reviewing cards” button to start.
2. Click on the arrow on the audio clip to hear the example. You will hear two beats, then the one beat pattern you should identify, and another beat. Identify only the 3 beat played. An example is given below:
3. After the example is played, think about which pattern was played.
4. To see the answer, click on “Check Answer” or just click on the card. The card will flip and show the correct answer. (For the example above, the correct answer here is #3.)
